Friday Friends Feature - Lady Guendalina's Closet

We found out about Lady Guen through our friend, pearl/gemstone dealer, and often co-conspirator at Con dealer's rooms, Kirsten, of FabricDragon Designs.  Lady Guendalina, AKA Susan, has an active indiegogo fundraiser going on so that she can obtain more reliable transportation, which will allow her to get to her scheduled vendor appearances around the region.

Here is more about her products, in her own words:

My name is Susan Christiano. I’ve been making snoods for 10 years. It really has become a love, a calling. What is a snood you may ask? It’s a great head covering for any lady who would like a fashionable way to cover her hair. Snoods originated many hundreds of years BC and have existed into the present time. I started making them because I do renaissance reenacting. But they aren’t just for the historical enthusiast. Either by themselves or with a scarf underneath them, they are a wonderful accessory to bring a little glamour into your life. I make all of mine by hand. I have wonderful cottons as well as luxurious silks, linens and metallic’s and use beads from the simple to the spectacular. I’ve adorned snoods with freshwater pearls, opals, rubies, sapphires, emeralds as well as lovely sparkly crystal beads. The natural fibers are cool and easy to wear and last for decades with just a little care. I love to do custom work and put extra special care into every custom snood so that each one is a work of art. No two are exactly alike.

A note to those who might be in need of a more full-coverage snood, Susan says she does make ones with lining, for those who wish.

And don't forget Kirsten's indiegogo campaign, in its final days!
